SSC CGL or IBPS Bank PO, which job is better?
Generally aspirants choose either of the exams for the career options i.e SSC CGL or IBPS Bank PO. Both of these exams have good future prospects, it is only the priority that one gives to a particular sector.
Although these jobs carry equal importance but there are some differences between them which helps us to decide which one is right for us.

- Career Growth/Promotions:
In SSC job profile if you are appointed as an examiner or on a high post then promotions are slow. But if you are appointed as BANK PO you can expect a promotion in 6to 7 years of time.

In order to get promotions in Bank PO jobs candidate has to work in rural area for one year.
After that he or she gets transfer in his/her hometown. In SSC job, the transfers are difficult unless you are appointed as an Assistant, then only you get permanent job in your hometown.

- Difficulty level of the Exam:

There are no bonds signed between the employer and employee in SSC JOB where as BANK PO Exam have a bond of at least 2 years to be on regular rolls. One needs to work in the bank for 2 years without break or else you have to pay the compensation.
- Salaries
SSC offers a handsome salary but only at the high level postings. For low level posts the salary is low.
But BANK PO gets a good start right from the day one.
After analyzing the above facts one can say that both the options are good at their place, it is the preparation and priorities which matters a lot. Some think that salary is the prime factor and some believe in high promotions.
