What are the basic things to keep in mind while preparing for the CGL 2018?

SSC CGL is a very important examination of SAFF SELECTION COMMISION. Every year almost more than lakhs of aspirants apply for this examination. As it is the most important examination, candidates want to know about the things which they must keep in mind while preparing for SSC CGL 2018 so that they can crack it easily.
Following are the points which one must have to consider while preparation of SSC CGL Examination:
  • In the preliminary level, maths, English & reasoning are very easy. Your main focus should be on General Awareness as it requires lots of time to read and search for the sources. It cannot be completed in 7 days to read as much as you can when you have time.
  • Practice hard for reasoning as sometimes it becomes very time-consuming questions. Try to solve at least 22 questions within 15-20 minutes.
  • Allot your available time between the sections according to your weak and strong areas.
  • Read newspaper as it will improve your GS and also help to increase your English vocabulary and strength.
  • Don’t attempt those question which are having doubts as negative marking concept is also there.
  • Never waste more than a minute on a single question as it may lead to a shortage of time for other question and hence you may not attempt all the questions.

Aspirants must be:
  • A citizen of India
Age Limit
  • The age of the candidates should be more than 20 years and less than 30 years.
Age Relaxation
Age relaxation schemes given to special categories’ candidates are as follow:
  • SC/ ST: 5 years
  • OBC :        3 years
  • PH: 10 years
  • PH + OBC :        13 years
  • PH + SC/ST :        15 years
Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
