Is it possible to get home state postings in SSC CGL?

While filling application form for SSC CGL 2020 exam, a candidate has to fill 30 different posts in order of their preference. As we all know, SSC CGL jobs are the most desirable jobs in India because of its generous privileges and decent salary packages attached with it.

6. Allotment of a Particular zone or circle in the beginning: - In most of SSC CGL posts, candidates are allotted a particular zone in the beginning of their job. Hence, they have to serve in that particular zone or circle for years and then you can be promoted or transferred to anywhere in India. If the concerned department is in your home state then you can apply and can get home posting.
7. Postings in sensitive and non-sensitive departments exist: - In many of SSC CGL jobs, there are many jobs which are categorized as sensitive and non-sensitive departments. In such departments, the candidates have to serve for a period of 2 years and thereafter your performance is reviewed every year. The transfer to home posting is dependent on candidate’s performance.
8. Women Officers can get favorable postings: - In many of SSC CGL, the transfer policy is lenient for woman officers and they have better prospects of getting home posting.
9. Candidate has to serve in one office for at least 3 years: - In SSC CGL jobs, a normal transfer within a zone are only possible if a candidate serves at a particular office for at least 3 years. Likewise, for transfers among stations, a candidate has to serve for 5 years for small stations and 8 years for large stations in a station.
