In SSC CGL Exam Tier 2 the level of questions is difficult as compared to tier 1. Pattern is completely different as it has more questions to be attempted and those are with complex calculations. To overcome the difficulty level it is better to follow the following tips these are:
  • Revise the topics common in tier1 and tier2 first. Practice those concepts with complex questions. Some of the important topics to be focused are:
  • Number Systems
  • Simple Interest & Compound Interest
  • Time & Work
  • Time & Distance
  • Profit & Loss
  • Percentage
  • Average
  • Ratio and Proportion
  • Bar graph & Pie-chart

A candidate gets an approximately three months to prepare after the result is declared for Tier 1. Use it judiciously by attaining speed and accuracy with effective understanding and learning. It should be obviously better than Tier 1 preparation.
  • Practice maximum as the level of question would be more difficult. In case you have not practiced enough it will not reap fruits.
  • Every wrong answer will be penalized by a negative marking of 0.50 marks. It is very important to maintain high accuracy.
  • The important topics for tier 2 are geometry, trigonometry, algebra, D.I, and percentage. More than 60 percent questions are generally asked from these topics. Focus on them the most. These topics are there in Tier 1, therefore you need to revise them thoroughly to main accuracy to score the maximum.
  • Practice previous year's papers to strengthen your chances to crack tier2. One should aim for 90 percent questions with accuracy while practicing so that you perform well in the examination.
Follow these tips and you are sure to get success in the most expected way. Once you will have clarity of basic concepts then this section will be the highest scoring section.
